Why do alot of Republicans and Whites tell us to get over racism in the but remind us of old racist democrats?

According to these people, we should switch to the Republican party, because they freed us over hundred years ago. Today's party is not Lincoln's party. Strom Thurmond, Jesse Helms, and Trent Lot were old school Democrats. What party are they now? Did you know that Dick Cheney called Nelson Mandela a terrorist back in the day? Where were most of those Republicans when Blacks were getting lynched? During those days, racism was so prevalent how could a black person tell who was on there side. Besides, alot of these Republicans abandoned us during and after Restruction. You guys should read "Red River" by Lolita Tademy.
If we started are own party, we would be accused of reverse racism.
I know there are intelligent people who don't agree with me could answer this question. Cos you aren't one of them.
The U.S. gets on my nerves with racism, but you non-American countries are full of crap. You have racism in your countries's as well. Don't pretend that everything is all honky dorey where you are from when alot of Blacks are descendants of Europeans. Americans finished what you started. Shouldn't England, Spain, France, and alot of Dutch countries put money in the Bureau of Indian's Affairs Fund? Yes.
I am proud be Black. People who have a problem with that are just as bad as some racists. By the way, I wrote this in response to a letter Larry Elder wrote back to a Black guy. The other guy didn't understand how he could Larry Elder could justify being a Republican and not supporting Obama. L.E. listed all the bad things Democrats did to Blacks in the past.

I think the media and Republicans care more about Al Sharpton than most Blacks. I always wonder when is he going to get rid of the tired perm. He is a good person to have if know one else will listen to your complaints, but he is so full of it.
