| Baby Names? Your opinions.?
I like uncommon names that are quite arty but pretty. I have a daughter called Kymberley-Jaiymee; unfortunately the pregnancy didn't carry to term and she didn't survive. My partner and I are both likely to have twins at some point (due to family history etc..) so we're trying to find names for two boys and two girls just incase. We also have names which must be in the boys names (names passed down the family through tradtion) and these names are John, James and David. My partner is called David John and so we don't want to use them as a first name. The names we're thinking about are: Boys: Darryl Benedict James Austyn David John Girls: Felicity Amii-Leah Kate Jessalynne Sharon-Rae Alannah But ofc they'd only really use their first names in general conversation so they'd be, Felicity, Jessalynne, Darryl or Austyn. But let me know what you think? The surname is Adams if it makes a difference, I don't mind how long them seem as a whole. Just a little thing since people obviously dislike the "Y" 's. Austyn spelt with a Y is my partner's deceased grandfather. Jessalynne is a college friend who changed my life, Darryl is a mix between Dyllan and Darren who are two of my siblings, and Amii-Leah is another spelling taken from a friend. But even so, thanks for all the comments so far. And three middle names is a family tradition, I'm a "Lesley Simone Evelyn Joann" shortened to Ley-Joann, and the name Ley-Joann goes on all my documents. I understand that some spellings are more difficult, but my child would only need to spell their first names until the difficulty of spelling wears off. |

I absolutely love Jessalynne and Felicity! I like Darryl and Austyn too, but I think I like Austyn better. Is there a reason though why you have chosen so many middle names? That's a lot for a young child to remember. It might also make filling out forms and paperwork a bit tricky once they get older.

I'm so sorry about your daughter. Felicity is gorgeous. It's so spunky and feminine sounding. Honestly I'm not a fan of hyphens, but Leah and Kate are both classics and I don't mind it in the middle name spot. Jessalynne is much more messy than Felicity, and will most likely be misspelled all the time. Out of Darryl and Austyn, I prefer Austyn. Darryl just reminds me of a really stupid, tough guy. I don't know why. Austin is nice, but I'd really love to see this spelling. The Austyn looks very trendy and won't age well. Plus, people are always going to spell it with the 'i' and he will have to correct them his whole life. Austin Adams or Felicity Adams both are very charming. |
