Guys, need your opinion - Did I ruin it?

Okay, so I met this guy about a year ago at a bar. He's a friend of my best friend. We talked and had a great time, and when we left the bar he chased me in the parking lot to get my number. I gave it to him, and a few days later he called me. However, I got the vibe from my best friend that she was uncomfortable with me dating him. She isn't interested in him at all, in fact she has a boyfriend of her own, but she was awkward about it. When he called, I said that it wasn't a good idea for us to go on a date, but that I'm sure we would see eachother again. I saw him again at a party last weekend, and he came over to me right away and said "I remember you" and kissed me on the cheek. We talked a lot, and when i left he walked me to my car. Is he going to make a move? I'm thinking he won't since I already shot him down a year ago. Thoughts?
