(I need guy and girl opinions) Why is it that whenever a guy writes a poem or expresses their feelings...?

Because a guy friend of mine wrote some poems about a dream girl that he cant have and how he feels so heart broken and what not and everyone thinks hes a player just because he's had a lot of gfs. but they all broke his heart so im just wondering what you all think about this...
well i got this idea because he tends to write a poem about a girl about how hes so in love and then he has sex with them... and then apparently they brake his heart and writes a poem about tha too. i mean he hasnt told me this because he doesnt like talknig about it but my girlfriends have been telling me some of this stuff.
