PLEASE HELP. I have to write a 3 paragraph essay on how my opinion on slavery

Most people usually have the same thoughts about slavery, what it was like, how many there were, and so on. Although, many of those thoughts are not accurate. When doing a discovery unit, I discovered many thought I had were inaccurate. I thought a large percentage of slaves were men, but, the percentage of men to women is not a great difference. I also realized how badly they could be punished and how many people did and didn’t own slaves.
My opinion and view greatly changed on slaves. I learned that most slaves were black, and less than one percent of the population had free blacks. Most slaves were men, and were sold for more than women, mainly because the could take more labor and were normally stronger.

The amount of slave women was close to the amount of slave men, which shocked me. The approximate sale price of a 25-year-old male slave in 1850 was $800, and for a female, $600. Another fact is that about 1,150,000 southern white families owned now slaves, and about 384,000 southern white families owned one slave or more.
