| What are the purposes of Catholic "Last Rites"? Please provide evidence, not opinion.?
I've heard it said that they are only given to the unconscious. There are no biblical references that "Last Rites" gets someone into heaven, so is it just for their earthly comfort? And why??? Arent they given to anyone who asks, regardless of their denomination or belief? What are the purpose(s) of giving a dying person "Last Rites"?
