Need honest opinions on a poem!?

need honest opinions on a very, very short poem for English--the requirement was at least 5 lines. I'm not one bit a poetry person... Kinda wrote this while listening to All Good Things (Come to an End) by Nelly Furtado.

Memories of love passed in quiet remembrance,
Silences, filled with despair and misgivings,
Leaving is not such sweet parting;
Emptiness engulfs everything - relentlessly,
Whispering forever forgotten goodbye's,
whilst hurt, I whisper back - adieu.

wow! very good. and you say you're not a poet. I really like the chosen words and the overall point. It evoked pretty good images, too. It's not at all apparent that you're a novice.
