Why do so many people seem to think all Republicans believe all the same things?

or supports Bush
or thinks Obama is a Muslim (a rumor Clinton supporters helped to spread)

(And I am certain a Democrat could come up with a similar list of assumptions many Republicans make about dems, but being a republican, I stuck with my experience.)

So WHY?

Not related to the question at hand, but do you think it is a bad thing to be a transvestite or gay? Most Dems don't.
So why use homosexuality to insult someone when her sexuality has nothing to do with what makes her so offensive?
What do think transvestites feel when they see you call Ann Coulter a tranvestite, like it is the worse thing?

(That is another area I disagree with the Republicans on. I may change to Libertarian if the religious right doesn't back off!)
