| So why are Republicans traditionally thought of as Rich and Religious?
If liberals are in higher income levels than conservatives why don't they traditionally vote republican?

Religion has a lot of money with which to buy money-minded politicians (Republicans). I don't think Republicans are any more religious than other people. Their just doing favors for who gives them money. This is the whole "special interest" situation. |

Because historically, Republicans have always favored the rich in their policies. In the last 10 years or so, the republican party have been owned 'lock stock and barrel' by the ignorant religious right. |
