| If I am a FDR/JFK Democrat, why should I vote for Obama?
FDR and JFK are two of my idols and I agree with most of their policies, but I have been becoming more of a conservative in recent years. I really liked Ronald Reagan and think that he was a much better President than Carter. Carter was a a pathetic pacifist who let the Shah of Iran be overthrown and is the main reason why radical Islamic nutjobs are ruling Iran right now. FDR, JFK, and Reagan all had backbones. Carter did not.
Obama wants to give health care to illegals and other criminals and he seems too left wing for me. One of JFK's closest friends and biggest supporters, Frank Sinatra, became a strong Republican and Ronald Reagan supporter later in his life. Some of the Obama supporters are so goofy and so loony that I would never want to associate with them. I don't want to associate with the environmentalists, hippies, and yuppies that I have seen support him.
Charleston Heston was similar to Frank Sinatra. He started out as a liberal Democrat and voted for Kennedy, but became more conservative later in his life and became head of the NRA.
