If Jesus were an American citizen, would he be a Republican or a Democrat?

We're talking about it at work... would he be a Republican?

- pro life
- anti gay (man shall not lie with another man)
- loves family

or a Democrat?

- against guns and violence
- pro gay (love everyone)
- against useless war

He would be neither. When Jesus walked this earth, he spoke and helped out all man kind, not just the Jews. What an idiot question. Jesus is for all mankind, not just one party or race. Ask a better question, like--"Why am I a stupid Christian?"

Jesus wouldn't be either. He'd be in favour of a Christian theocracy - absolute rule by God's representative on Earth.

If you're assuming he WOULD be in favour of democracy, I'd go for neither democrat NOR republican - he'd be an eco-friendly liberal socialist (which the democrats are not, no matter what they claim). He advocated giving most of your wealth to the poor, was absolutely non-violent and taught to love your fellow man no matter who he was - and of course would care greatly for God's creation.

Yet another permeatation is if you're going what the Bible as a whole says I'd say he'd be an extreme right-wing fascist - stoning and hanging for most offenses, even ones considered trivial by modern standards - and of course in complete favour of slavery.
