If you are a Republican does that mean you agree with Bush?

or not? and if your a democrat do you HAVE to vote that way even if you dont like the candidates?
Is this true? Reuplicans are for the rich and Democrats are for the poor? True or false? I have heard that for many years..not sure what it really means.

thanks

No, you vote on the issues that mean the most to you. And its not true that Republicans are for the rich, Democrats are the ones who always raise taxes, which take away from the poor and shut down small business.

No, no and no. And NO!

There are plenty of non-biased (well, nothing is truly non-biased, but some sources are more credible and truthful than others) sources of information on the parties and American politics. I suggest you do some researching before November (or before you are old enough to vote). Don't take anything on this website as scripture....especially in politics & government.

Democrats define compassion by how many people are on government welfare.

Republicans define compassion by how may people are not on welfare.

In other words -- Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you will feed him for life.

Democrats want to give the man a fish. A fish paid for by government. Republican want to teach the man to fish.

This is why people say the republican are for rich people.

I dont agree with Pres. Bush on everything.

No you don't. Most conservative minded people have had a lot to disagree with about Bush and the Republicans that have been in Congress.

Both parties have rich and poor. The difference is between hand ups and handouts.

Republicans will only hurt America by extending the war in Iraq, by ending the AMT which ensures that the RICHEST Americans pay at least SOME income tax, by ending the ESTATE tax which again is paid only by the wealthiest of Americans,(not to be confused with the rhetorically Republican named "death tax"), and by extending Bush's tax cuts that go disproportionately to the RICHEST 1%. McCain's policies are a joke and only wish to concentrate MORE wealth in FEWER hands. Their policies definitely favor the minority RICH over the vast majority of Americans.
Despite what Republicans will tell you, Democrats do NOT want to "redistribute" wealth from the rich to the poor. What we want is ECONOMIC JUSTICE. We want a FAIR tax system and to END Corporate Welfare. Why should the American taxpayers have to prop up failing businesses or worse yet businesses that are succeeding and have millions or billions of dollars in PROFITS.

VOTE DEMOCRAT in '08!!

False on the rich-poor thing. Both parties are for the middle class which makes up the vast majority of the USA and is why the nation is so stable. They decide who will be President. The rich usually support Republicans and poor usually support the Democrats, but there are not many rich people and the poor don't vote.
