...Republican Party's shoulders? The Republicans stymied Clintons efforts to continue to fireing missiles into Al Queda's camp(s) in Afganistan, citing that Clinton fired the missiles solely to take attention away from the Monica Lawenski contraversity.

I think that's very accurate. What do you think?

The responsibility falls squarely on the shoulders of the terrorists. The Republicans simply ignored the threat, both while Clinton was in office and after Bush took over, allowing the attacks to take place.

I think it is accurate to an extent. Certainly there is a lot of blame to go around and a lot of it does belong to the Republicans. I mean George Tenet went to the National Security Adviser Cond. Rice shortly before 9-11 and warned her of "an imminent attack on America soil with hijacked airplanes" and asked for special anti terror powers to find out when and where it was going to happen, and she refused. She dismissed the threat of terrorism as "largely a historical study", and the day before 9/11 a congressman from California who was a CIA operative in Afghanistan in the 1980's warned the white house that al-qaeda was going to attack very soon, because a high level Israeli intelligence officer was killed the day before, and that was always the signal to terrorist sleeper cells in America to attack; again, it was ignored. But I would say that 9/11 was the consequential result of fifty year long policies in the middle east and an unwillingness to change those policies, and an unwillingness to believe that a threat was even emanating from it to begin with.

I think you have a very skewed way of looking at things- do you regularly blame people for actions committed by others?

I think the blame for 9/11 attacks rests squarely on the shoulders of the men and their leader Osama who committed the horrendous attacks.

How could it...Bill Clinton (who did NOTHING about any attack while he was in office) had only been gone a short time.

YES. It does.

Anybody with any sense of truth and fairness can go back and read transcripts of Congress meetings during that time.

The REPUBLICANS were all over Clinton for "being obsessed" about bin Laden and terrorism. Essentially told him to back off and quit wasting everybody's time and resources.

FACT.
