Others opinion?

I try to be as nice as I can to others to make a good impression , however I think I value others opinion of me to much. I may change my view on a subject so that they might think good of me, or I might reveal a secret of someone else to gain that persons trust so that they can see I'm open. These flaws have caused me to lie and freak out a lot of times, I sometimes even stay awake at night worrying what people think of me. How can I change this?
