If a democrat gets elected, do you think they will work quickly to stop the...

...rise of the muscle cars? I hope not. I mean, some optional green models would be cool, but to kill the sports cars, or downsize the motor, would take us back to the dull era of the '70s.
Excuse me, highbrow people, for asking a simple question about muscle cars. I have many other concerns with politics, but I couldn't fit them all in one question. *sigh*

Reducing our dependence on foreign oil and protecting our environment is more important than playing with muscle cars and buying SUVs to drive on the freeway. That doesn't mean we should not have the option anymore, but people should be encouraged to make responsible choices for our country's sake.

Fast cars cause trouble.
What the hurry unless you are on a race track?
I would admire and support any politician, regardless of their political affiliation, who had the common sense to propose a law to mandate the auto industry to build passenger autos that could not exceed 75 mph.
That same admiration and support would go to the lawmaker that proposed stiffer penalties for those convicted of vehicular manslaughter.
If you have a need to drive at excessive speed then do it on a race track where you and other like minded individuals can limit the risk of injuries to yourself and spare the rest of the people who are just trying to go to and from work.
But since admirable politicians are so far and few in between I will not hold my breath while waiting for sensible legislation to be introduced.
PS: Rest in peace Dale.

Probably for "political correctness", not even realizing it is part of America's pastime and it will result in job loss.

What they will do is concentrate on the war, the military and the taxes. You can be sure you won't hear a word for a year or more.

What I am hoping is that car manufacturers get an electric option to go with the gas guzzler. That way we can sit in traffic, and get around town for next to nothing, but crank it up for a Sunday afternoon ride.
