What should I do, what your opinion, do you think he looks hot ?

I've been friends with this guy since we were kids and were like best friends, all of a sudden asks me out on his 16th birthday. this is awkward, because I like him but I don't know if I really like him enough to guy out with him because i don't want to be one of those girls that losses their best friend just because they broke up or something stupid like that. I mean I like him a lot I just want to mess up the friendship we have right now. I think he looks hot I mean he's "6 4" and athletic not to mention he is crazy funny. Here take a look:
