Who's the most decent, family-values, prominent Republican that you know of and why?

Then how do you know that they have more values than Dems if you must know them personally to name one...which you can't? Can anyone name one based on his or her background/example?

The most decent, family-values Republican with the most integrity is Ron Paul. Ron Paul is my Congressman (from my district - I live in Katy, TX - a suburb of Houston), and he is a family friend.

He was a doctor before he went to congress, and he would treat patients for free if they couldn't pay. He doesn't participate in the congressional pension program, he never voted to give himself a raise (in Congress, where you can vote to give yourself a raise), he never voted for any legislation that violates the Constitution. He isn't some slick lawyer-turned-politician. He has undeniable integrity.

He was also named, "The Taxpayer's Best Friend."
