Why is John McCain an unacceptable candidate for Conservative Republicans?

I can't vote for him. I'd rather have a Democrat in there to mess everything up in hopes of electing a true conservative in 2012!!

I am a conservative republican, and I am voting McCain. I see nothing wrong with him at all.

I 100% agree with all his policies and I will support him until he is no longer in office. Much like I have George W. Bush.

Because he is his own man and does not always rubber stamp every issue without thinking about it.

That doesn't always fly well with ultra-conservatives who because they are conservative don't tend to like flies in their ointment.

McCain is apretty deep thinker and like Lieberman crosses party lines for what he feels is best.

I'm not a McCain supporter, but I respect him in this regard.

I am a conservative republican and disagree with McCain on several issues. However, at least he will appoint conservative judges who will rule according to te constitution. This is a big issue since 5 justices terms are ending. The democrats will appoint liberal judges who tend to make the law up as they go. Also, he is a stron antional security candidate unlike the dems. This coupled with the fact that Obama and Hillary will lead this country towards socialism is reason enough to vote for McCain. Hopefully, he will win and only be a one term President because of his age. Then we can rally around a true conservative (maybe Romney) in 2012!

Because he has stepped away from the conservative platform too often. Big no no.
