I'm a Democrat that finds Obama to be kind of an empty shell. Does that

make me a devout racist? At a local meeting for our local Democrat party last night, I stated my opinion that Obama doesn't really say anything other than "noun, verb, change".

If there are those in my party that don't care for Clinton or Edwards, that's their right. But at least those two stated opinions and broke down what their administrations would do.

So, some of the younger people in our group naturally assumed that I must be a racist for not wanting to see Obama elected.

Honestly, does this guy walk on water or what?

This bugs me, because as much as I don't want to see a Republican in the White House in 2009, I really am beginning to not like this guy's followers.

I'm a registered Democrat. However, I've wondered if Obama is elected President, will criticism of him be considered "hate speech" by some people since he's Afro-American?

Although most folks wouldn't consider it hate speech, there may be a few out there on the fringe who might "play the race card" in defense of Obama.
