troll snatching TB! has a spectacular aura about
need your opinions.. trained horse or one to train?

so, i will have been riding for 7 years this may and i am at a loss on where to go with my riding. I started eventing this summer and totally fell in love with dressage, i have a 16 year old TB who HAD dressage training, but doesnt really have the ability to advance, he also doesn't have the brain for jumping and has put me off of wanting to learn more about jumping.

thinking about what i want to do with my future, i can't choose between getting a horse to train, or getting a horse that is trained already to teach me. I have already retrained a few horses, and feel most confidant doing that... but i have never ridden a "made" horse.

which do you think would help me the most?
getting a trained horse, or getting one to train?

any thoughts on this are welcome [=
