What is your opinion? Bringing a baby home..?

Is it bad to bring a baby home to an apartment? My hubby and I are moving and plan on living in an apartment for a year until we get on our feet, and have enough time to look for a house. THen, by the time the baby is 6 months old we will own a house again. We own one now, but he is military and we are moving in 2 years. We just think that getting an apartment might be less stressful...and then we will have some time to look while I finish my degree!
yeah, ist want to feel at home there though even though we will move out of there soon after the baby is born! I would still want to decorate the babies room and all that stuff!
sorry just wanted to add soemthing......we will be settled...we own a home now, but like I said we will be moving and want some time to look for the perfect house. Plus, i will be starting my job a while after the baby is born and we will be able to afford more of a house, so why rush into it when a year or so later I can afford an even bigger one?

Why would it be bad? Plenty of families live in apartments. I didn't live in a house till I was 16. Like you, not everyone can afford a house. Apartment living is good if you live in the right place. Plus it's easier for the kids to make friends I think.

There's nothing wrong with living in an apartment. My daughter is 5 and we still live in one. And there are a lot of other kids in our apartment complex.

I brought both of my kids home to an apartment, they still come hom everyday to that same apartment, it's not big by any means, but they have a nice place to sleep, food to eat, room to play. My kids aren't very old but they seem to have turned out alright living in an apartment.

Hi
Not at all. In fact you have to worry less about things like stairs etc. Also the baby will not care where it is as long as it is loved.

I live in an apartment, and baby should be here any day. We are saving for a house, but it is a bit nice in an apartment for now, and think it will be just fine. Just get one large enough, ours is 1200sq ft.. PLUS you have all the apartment perks, club house, gym, pools, bar-b-q, play grounds all right where you are.

If you dont want to do that, rent a house. :]

there is nothing wrong with it. The baby wont be running about so it wont notice that its smaller than a house.

Your neighbors might not like it...=) But they can get over that, right? =)
