Hurricane Fay was devastating Florida, causing the death of several people and hundreds of millions of dollars in damage but Obama was busy, making sure that his shirt and tie didn’t clash with the carpeting at the coliseum. In Louisiana, Governor Jindhal and his bipartisan team sat down with officials from FEMA, state and local emergency disaster boards, working out evacuation routes, gas, food and water stations along the routes, and transportation and shelter for those without.
