Why do people vote Republican? (Seriously!)?

I can understand if you are conservative. But the Republicans have blantently lieing to American citizens for the last 4 decades for overseas oil interests. After Bush lied and enfringed our constitution how can you vote again for the Republicans. Just asking.

Because I don't like gay marriage, over taxed public funding plans, and I want the right to bare arms.
Just a few.
My girlfriend is a democrat. She doesn't say it but when we're going down the road she just sits in the passenger seat and b*tches.

Being conservative has nothing to do with be a Democrat or a Republican.Back before you were born(I'm sure),Democrats from the southern states were considered very conservative. The Republican Party has not held a controlling majority in our government for the past 40 years to be able to "lie...for overseas oil interests".Lying seems to be something that neither party has a monopoly on.Did Bush lie to us?Maybe, but he did so with not the information that he and his party had. They did so using information gathered during the Clinton years as well.
The Democrats seemingly constant solution to economic problems is to raise either an existing tax or create a new one.I am having a hard time affording to be a Democrat. The Democrat solution to crime is to pass new laws rather than enforce the existing ones.
And please,if anyone is infringing on the Constitution,it would be the liberal, activist judges put on the bench by Democrats.
I have been a Democrat for longer than you have been alive and it is becoming increasingly difficult to remain one. That doesn't automatically make me a Republican, though. It makes me what more and more Americans are - frustrated with their political parties and the lack of an honest and ethical government.
Also, try using spell check the next time you post.It might make you appear to be a little smarter than reality suggests.

Democrats, (seriously) some examples, Pelosi, Kennedy, Hillary, Reid, Dean, Boxer, Gore, Kerry and the incredibly ridiculous list could go on and on.

Because I like freedom of expression and religion. Also, the only prominent democrat I find myself able to respect is Kucinich, and bat crazy.

It's a tough call. Do I want the party that frequently lies? Or do I want the party that's frequently incompetent? So I just look at the individual candidates, and the Dems will need to get their act together if they want to convince me their candidate is better than John McCain. I've been watching politics for many years now, and I believe McCain is usually on the right side of the issues, more so than most politicians.

I vote republican because I can not afford to pay the democrat's taxes, and I feel if I can not afford to support myself why should I support others.
