ladies help!!! what should i do in this situation? opinions please!!!?

im going on holiday with some friends in the summer.

its a 2 week holiday in the sun
anyway i think im going to be on my period for most of the first week...

would going on the pill help?

one of my friends seems to think it will but i want a few other opinions/ experiences on this subject before i take time off work to see the doctor.

what do you think? im 25 and ive never been on the pill before....

Well I think it is possible it could work, but is is even more possible that it would make it very irregular at first and unpredictable. You should probably call doc and ask for a nurse and see if there is a reason to take of work to get something. They should tell you.

go and see your doctor i think there is a pill that they can prescribe for you to stop it while you are away, without you actually going on the contraceptive pill.

It might it takes a while to regulate after you start taking it but if you've been on it for a while and you continue taking it without a break it can hold them off...
Wouldn't suggest you tell the doctor that this is the reason for wanting to go on it

It will most likely stop you from getting your period depending on witch pill you go on. But you may have some spotting and cramping. You may also become irritable and moody. Who knows, everyone reacts differently to the pill. Your body really doesn't like to skip periods and you may be very irregular for a few months. By irregular I mean your next period may be heavier and longer. You have to weigh your options. Hope this helps, Good luck and have fun.

Well, I would go to a doctor and ask him that you want to reduce your period to fewer days, I have heard that the Depo shot makes your period go away completely, so you might want to try that, I don't know the actual name for it I know it's like an injection, not a pill, or a patch or anything like that, so here I put a website that gives you a lot of info about it. But I will tell you, the people I know that do it don't get their period at all.

The pill helps regulate your period if its unpredictable but it can take a few months to regulate, talk with your doctor to find out if its right for you.

yes they can work, if i know im going to be on i do 2 months of pill back to back and there is no prob. Have a chat with doc explain situation and they will give the right pill to suit you and your needs!
