Celtic: My son just joined about 4 months ago. He's active duty marines. He's gettting out on a hardship because of me, he's already done 3 tours in Iraq and was scheduled to go back after only a 3 month break. He's been staying here for a little while now and already got him his 32nd in the scottish rite. It didn't take that long at all. I hear so many fathers say they wish their son would join and the ones that say yes, always take their time about it as far as I can see around these parts. But some go right into freemasonary. I just put through a 4 generation and his father and grandfather showed up for the final MM class. I have even seen the reverse which was really cool where the son got the father to join. The most sons I have seen join is 4, all at once. Hey how Irish are you??? I was born in Ireland, I was raised in the military and then got medically retired myself. The lead singer of Black 47 is my first cousin lol

I will be getting my son on the square as soon as he has the free time, at the moment he is studying and working, so what ever free time he has which is not a lot, he spends with his girl friend. I have spoken to him about it and his studys finish next year, so I would say 18mths, sooner if he wishes. Paperworks all ready in.
