how does this sound and how can i make it better . its for preschool children?

once upon a time there was a rabbit by the name of peter . peter was a bushy tail rabbit.(this is when i put on my rabbit ears and and tail and shake my tail ). peter was very hungry but was tired of eating carrots . he thought to himself where is my grandma great big book of recipes he searched until he found the great big book of recipes.(this is where i pick up a great big book.. he flipped through the pages until he found his grandma recipe for chocolate chip cookies. Than he thought to himself i wish i had someone to help me.(this is when i ask the children will they help peter make some cookie .first ill ask the children what is some things you think we will need to make cookies. than ill say lets look into the great big book of recipes and see(the first thing we have to do is read the ingredients . (the ingredients will be in words and pic. like for two cups of flour i will have the number two and two pic of cups and a pic of flour and the words at the bottom. first the ingred
than peter read the ingredients and said two cups of flour he pulled out a cup and some flour and said b can you pour me me two cups of flour how many time will he have to put the flour into the cup. if they say two than i will let him pour it two times into the bowl. next it says tablespoon of of oil . so he pulled out a spoon but it was not a regular spoon this spoon was called a measuring spoon. and after we finished putting the ingredients together they all stirred until they finished . Next it says roll each into a ball i will give each kid a piece cof cookie dough and let them roll it on a paper toll and and than it says put it in the oven ill have each children put it on the pan and then ill go put it in the oven

should i say first we need a measuring cup a table spoon , etc and than read the ingredients
i want to keep it simple
and i want all the kids attention and i want everybody to participate

Sounds pretty good, though may not want to go through all measurements and items needed, unless that was required. Also, if YOU are playing peter, instead of saying "so he thought to himself" you could say in a different voice what you are thinking, to add interest. Good luck!
