So that the teacher can see how the child is interacting with other children and also to gauge (not sure about spelling here) the child's social development. Also as a side effect of doing an observation on a child's social development you may also notice development in other areas such as motor or language. |

for the teacher to make social observations? ok mhmhmm I did a report on being a pre school teacher you have to make sure they can play well with others or dosnt get violent with others because this could be a problem down the road or they might need a shrink or if there are too many problems it could mean they are mentally handicapped so they have to observe the kids
