How much does a preschool teacher make a year? what about a Kindergarten teacher?

I'm trying to decide what im going to do with my life. im graduating from high school next year; i know i still have a while to think about this but i want to get a head start. Im considering being a teacher, preferably for younger kids. so do any of you know how much a kindergarten or preschool teacher make in a year? Also, I would appreciate any advice and information kindergarten or preschool teachers have about their profession. Thanks in advance.

In our area a kind. teacher would make around 25,000-30,000. Preschool all depends on who hires you...if it's a school district you'd make similar to a teacher, but private or church schools probably make less I guess.

It depends greatly on what location you were planning on teaching in. In some areas a kindergartan teacher make more and in some areas a preschool teacher makes more.

Teaching positions, like most jobs, vary greatly depending on the area you live and the people that hire you. Private schools generally pay better than public schools. I would guess that you would make extremely similar salaries as kindergarten or preschool. I would estimate between $20,000 and $40,000, depending on the area you live and the school that hires you.
