Sounds like your previous answers have the main areas covered. I wanted to emphasize the "ask open-ended questions". Don't be concerned about a little silence! Letting them talk is where you will learn the most from these individuals.

qualifications/education/references/experience how would they manage their centers? how would they structure their classroom? what is her/his educational philisophy? you would be surprised how much education philsophies can give you insight on the kind of teacher you are hiring. listen for key words that would alarm you. are they a people person? they will need to come in contact with parents, other students and most importantly the students? find out what their expecations are? you cant imagine how many employees and bosses are not on the same page for alot of issues? ask open ended questions. allow them to talk. |
