| Teaching about sharing by having less toys than you have students. I think learning to share and be kind to others is one of the most important "etiquette" things a child can learn. You can incorporate the "please and thank you's into the exercise. You point out to the kids that not everyone has a toy, or whatever it is.... encourage them to be kind and share, and rain praise on those that do. Start out with 2 kids who will "model" the correct behavior. Then you have shown an example. The ones who are not willing to share, end up being the ones with no toy, so they can experience how that feels. Everyone in the group experiences what it is like to have, what it is like to not have, and what it is like to share. Using encouragement and praise, you can change behavior.
