Using a secondary education BEd to teach elementary?

Hi there,

I'm in the process of applying to Bishop's University (ubishops.ca) in Education and I'm having a difficult time deciding between the elementary & the secondary stream. At BU, you graduate with either a BA in Educational Studies or in a teachable (such as English) and a BEd.

My question is, if I graduate from the secondary stream, would I be able to teach at the elementary level later on without taking additional courses? I love working with elementary aged kids, but English is my calling.

I plan on remaining in Quebec to teach for a few years after I graduate.
