PSP programming help/tutorial...?

I was wondering if there is either a way to fix cygwin to install the psptoolchain... Or if there were any apps that allowed you to make psp homebrew not using LUA... I want to learn but I can't follow through on a tutorial because it Cygwin gets an error about automake/autoconf not being installed... If any1 knows how to get around this other than saying "Go install it" because its not on the installer app you can contact me via this email or sasuske223@aol.com I use tht e-amil more now... Thanks
