I need help with psychology paper??

well i have to write a paper for my psychology class and it has ot be like some sort of experiment..like with an independant and dependant variable a control group and an experimental group. it has to relate to my technology (education) so it had to be dealing with young children. it doesnt have to be ground breaking or anything extreme. it can be small and simple. any ideas would be great!! thanks a lot!

Hey there,

Okay, I am gettting some of the cobwebs out of my head here and help.

Okay think of the independent variable like an IV. It is given to the experimental group. The control group only receives the dependent variable.

Lets do something like: What are the affects of eating breakfast before a test. (So, both groups are going to have the test.)

I remember research one of my colleagues did (She was a teacher). She worked with young children in the inner city. So, during homeroom she gave her kids popcorn and orange juice. The other homerooms did not get this food.

THe experimental group received the IV being the popcorn and juice.

BUT, they were all tested on the same topic and it was not surprise that the class that had food did better. They had received the independent variable of food. It made a huge difference.

YOu can also drag in here Maslow's hiearchy of needs. to also back up your answer here. Obviously, it would be very difficult to teach a child if they are hungry, right?

Good luck, I hope I helped.
