Does anyone know how I would go about getting a career in psychology?

I want to be a therapist, always have. I just dont know hoe I go about doing so, what colleges to attend etc. There is a sort of tech school Pellissippi state would I start out there or go to UT (university of TN) to start out? What courses would this involve? Also how long would I have to remain in school including graduate school if any? Any answeres would be helpful thanks!
