Please help with my psychology research hypotheses?

Dependant variable: Memory/Recall
Indep. Variable: Concrete and abstract words.

Hypothesis: People recall words/information better if it is concrete (table, chair, monkey) as opposed to abstract (large, fast, busy).

OR>>>If separate sets of word lists containing concrete and abstract words were given, then it is likely that the concrete words will be better remembered.

Which hypotheses makes more sense???
