Psychology question - Milton Rokeach - the D-scale!!?

I need to find any info about this person and what the D-scale was used for to evaluate which of one following people:
a) hostile
b)optimisitc
c)closed minded
d)open minded
Please help!! I am having a difficult time finding much info on what the D-scale was used for/ what type of person it was used on
