| Need help with Psychology A2 practical?
I am doing a practical for my coursework. My results consist of the number of words recalled between two groups in two different conditions. So my question is, what level of measurement would that be ? For example, time taken would be a ratio measurement (I think). If this helps then, i am carrying out a mann whitney u test for my results. Thanks for all that help, appreciated |

I did exactly the same test when I did A-level psychology. If you are doing the Mann Whitney U test then your data will have to be ordinal to meet the criteria needed for that statistical test. Ordinal data cannot include time measurements...so the measurement would have to be data ranked in order of the number of correct answers each participant got e.g. 9, 6, 4, 2. Hope this makes sense. |
