Are macbooks good for A-level studying? e.g.maths, chemistry, biology, psychology?

i want a macbook but i don't know if its suitable enough for the studies studies

Yes, they have everything that you could need for pretty much any level of study. If you like, you can run windows XP or Vista on it. Also, if you're into Linux that can be run as well.

Sure you can do that, but why go through all the trouble of buying very expensive Mac software for your studies, when you can almost certainly find a cheap/free one for your pc laptop? You can even load it up with a free version of Linux and have a powerful tool for studying computing.

Imo, the only mild advantage a Mac has over the PC is video/image editing. That's it. Nothing else.
