psychology of the work week? here's my theory.?

this theory is for the Monday-Friday folks who grind out the same schedule. I have theories about how we think of each day. (I'm no longer m-f but can easily remember the routine)

Monday - not too bad of a day because you just got off of some rest

tuesday - the worst day of the week, too far away to think of weekend and you were here yesterday. this day stinks

wed- 2nd worst day. see tues

thursday - not too bad but getting tired of being here. some folks party lots on thursdays because all they have to do is have 1 more day at work. you feel better this day than you do on Sunday, even though you have another day ahead.

Friday- great day, this is it. no need to go to bed early tonight, lets relax... the day will fly (except for the last 3 hours of work)

Sunday - esp in the evening, bad feelings of "ugg, I got to go to work tomorrow" I call this the "sunday night blues" and would I be able to publish a research paper and coin this term? comments encouraged

What happens to the Monday (federal holiday) in which is an extra day off to some like Dr. MLK/Labor Day etc.?!
... you can publish the theory but coining a term "sunday night blues" won't fly because some people have Sat. off and begin work on Sun. to prepare for all the folks who begin work on Monday.

I usually coast through Mon-Fri on auto pilot. Weekends are a blur in the wind and then I get to do it all over again.

Workin' for the rat race.

Sunday Evening is the worst feeling in the whole world & I don't work on Monday morning, it's just a feeling from when I was at school & had left an assignment (which was due on Monday) until the last minute, I remember praying for a heavy fall of snow on several occassions, once my prayers were granted.

Monday Evening is OK, you have got to the best side of it & survived.

Tuesday & Wednesday are mundane - they just have to be got through.

Thursday is a day that I treat as being weekend - I stay up late & enjoy as I have only one day to cope with.

Friday - is a great feeling, always was & always will be.

Saturday - At the moment I am chauffeur to my (teenage) sons, so the weekend is never what I want, but I still get the happy Friday feeling & the depressed Sunday evening feeling.
