SASSYGAL has a spectacular aura about
psychology.. getting over a past relationship?

I've been out of this relationship for almost 3 1/2 years now and I still havent found someone that has made me feel happy again and satisfied. I can't seem to get over the guy..im always comparing people to him.
How do i let go, and quit expecting so much from people, and taking out the hurt from my ex's actions out on them??

you need to make yourself feel happy
your ex is gone
not coming back
stop being stuck in a memory

you need to learn how to love yourself
love your family
love your friends
go out and enjoy being single (I LOVED BEING SINGLE)
real love will come to you when the time is right
it's not coming right now because you aren't ready
it took me 3 years to find a new love after my ex
but i wasn't looking
you know what the funny thing is I couldn't stand my current boyfriend when I met him. Now he's my heart...moreso than my ex.

I know how you feel. I've been out with tons of men but only fell deeply in love with one, then our relationship had to end. It's been 10 years and I miss him terribly. It's just an ache that stays with you after losing someone that made you feel great. Hopefully it will be replaced some day, but I think you'll just have to live with it.
P.S. Don't waste your time comparing other people to him. No one will ever compare to him. Just look for something new.

The problem is you're looking for someone else to make you happy. You need to be able to be happy on your own first! You simply have to make a conscious effort to feel good without a mate. When you start comparing him to someone, tell yourself to stop. Everyone is different and everyone has their good and bad qualities. Focus on doing something by yourself on a regular basis that makes you happy. Focus on being independent. Focus on good friends instead of relationships. You'll find it a lot more rewarding than a possibly endless search for someone perfect.
