| Don't you just love when a business associate sends you emails with bible... ...quotations at the bottom? Is it proper etiquette to reply with verses from the Quoran, Torah or the Satanic bible at the bottom of mine? Why are Christians the only ones who seem to engage in this offensive behavior of blatantly disrespecting my beliefs? |

| I think that religion in the workplace is highly unprofessional. I used to have a job at which I was the only Catholic in the workplace. People would not only stand around making openly hostile statements about Catholicism, but a co-worker started sending me e-mails with anti-Catholic statements in them. I was professional all the way, but I got out of that place the first chance I got. I don't think these people realized that, were I not an easygoing person, I could've very easily gotten the lot of them fired (this was blatantly against office rules) or even pressed a lawsuit (it's against state law, too). What part of shoving your religion into your co-worker's faces constitues being an efficient worker? Leave the religious statements at home, where they belong. |
