Why would a homosexual still want to belong a religion that dehumanizes them?

i mean i just dont understand it , and i know im going to hear answers like "god loves the person , not the action(homosexual lifestyle)" which is just RIDICULOUS..even more so to assume that god even cares about whos having sex with who

all im saying is that i just dont understand why a homosexual male/female would still choose to belong to a religion like chrisitanity or islam?

I believe it is because the homosexuals still in the faith are following what Jesus taught, instead of what the evangelists cherry pick from the scripture. Jesus taught love and understanding and that is what true Christians see. If they wish to believe in a higher power, than more power to them.

The Catholic Church that Jesus Himself founded does not do so. Other groups that usurp the name "Christian" might, but they are founded on a stolen name, so what does that tell you about them?

Jesus Christ is an all-or-nothing guy. Be careful what you call "Christian".
