What exactly is spirituality in your opinion?

I hear different things from different people about spirituality. What exactly does spirituality mean to you and how do you try to be more spiritual? What role does religion play in attainment of sprituality?

It has nothing to do with religion in my case.
I think of spirituality as getting in touch with ones feelings and inner self. Nurturing the mind and body (which are one) through meditation and self love. Opening the mind to ideas and concepts. Learning and knowledge along with compassion.

The state of deep relationship to GOD. I am spiritual when I am obeying HIM. Religion is a middle man.

Spirituality to me means a constant awareness of my own responsibility to conduct myself in a manner that is pleasing to God. It's an eagerness to learn and to understand Gods Words as spoken through the prophets and through His Son Jesus Christ. It's an innate desire to live as Jesus demonstrated and taught. It's a quest for truth and the meaning of life. Religion, ritual, and doctrine, have nothing to do with it.
