Is "religion" a Pox on the modern world. Would the world be better with no Religion.?

There is so much religious conflict in the world.
Not to mention, my god versus your god, my bible versus your bible, my interpretation vs. your interpretation.
Is religion a scourge on the modern world.
Is it time for religion to end.
21st. century Now.
Religion ruled when men, women lived in caves, mud-hutes, stone-ages.
what's the truth.
