Do you practice the same religion your parents do?

I for one do and it is not because that is the only religion I've know. I have been to other churches, but keep concluding that the church I've grew up in made the most sence. My sister in law has joined another church than her parents. A friend in the apartment village I now live in isn't Catholic like her parents were because church bored her. She found another church that didn't make her board and is raising her daughter Christian in this other church. If you do practice another religion than your parents was the change hard? Did your parents disapporve or just sort of accept it?

I don't follow the same religion as my family, I'm Pagan, they're Catholic, at first they didn't accept it or approve of it but now, since they have read up on Paganism, they fully accept and support my choice (all except my grandfather, but he's one of those who will argue with you saying it's late when the sun is still up)

They see that I am happier since I became Pagan and, for them, that's good enough to except it, while none of them have changed religions (And I don't expect them to, it's their choice) they do like learning about it.

It took some time but they accept and approve of my religion now.
