Kevin S has a spectacular aura about
Is it better for a religion to be labelled "liberal" or "conservative"?

Some people associate negative things with both of those words, but I think it's relative. Like, when it comes to money matters, I'd call myself a conservative. But when it comes to social issues, I'm definitely liberal.

But in terms of religion, I cannot help but associate the scarier ones with the word "conservative" - and if a religion is described as "liberal" I tend to think of them as a little more easygoing and laissez-faire.
Hm, reading the first few answers, I feel I should add: like it or not people, those words DO get used in religious contexts - so if you're going to be saddled with one, which one is less objectionable?
Love of Blue: yeah, I don't like labels either, but you can't really escape 'em. Even if you don't use them, other people will - it's their yardstick.
