Why shouldn't they be? Just because they are atheist, it doesn't mean that they are not interested in religious/spiritual discussions. Not all of them are here to create arguments, while some might be.

First of all, you don't have to be religious to be spiritual. Second, I'm here because I like to piss people off.

Why are there so many atheists in the religion/spirituality section?

Wow, nobody's asked that question in at least half an hour. Congratulations!Where else can we go to try to expose the believers to some truth and logic? Every day, everywhere, they only see their side of the story. If their beliefs are true, as they incessantly claim, our presence here shouldn't trouble them at all.Edit: Ziggy, I'm sure you are tired of being asked for proof when you don't have, and never will have, any. I'm tired of being asked to be respectful of beliefs I find baseless, laughable and ridiculous. But that would be fine if those beliefs weren't intruding into my daily life--which they are.

Those who feel compelled to share their thoughts on religious affiliated questions will make a comment. Providing a different view on a topic sometimes adds to the dynamics of understanding and enlightenment. This is not always the case, but it is more often than not.

*Yawn* Perhaps they wish to read about and discuss religion and spirituality. It's not the "religious and spiritual" section, after all. Also, as this question pops up almost daily, I suggest that you search for similar questions before doing this same old extravaganza.*Drinks*

They wanna be persuaded to belive in God.Playing hard to get, lol, playing hard to get converted when deep down they want to be convinced & converted.Proved my theory right all along about atheists that they are infact in denial & just have issues and are weak minded/hearted/willed but need a kick up the back side to make them see reality & the truth of life.Peace.
