In religion can body, mind and soul be united to God?

The Bible teaches that people are tripartite [1 Thessalonians 5:23; Hebrews 4:12]: consisting of a body, soul and spirit [Luke1:46,47]. The soul is made up of the mind, emotions and the will [Samuel 5:8; Job 6:7; Psalm 86:4; 139:14; Song of Solomon 1:7; 2 Lamentations 3:20; 1 Corinthians 14:14]. When Adam fell his spirit became deadened, insulated from God and lost its functions toward God [Ephesians 2:1]; and its conscience (God-centered morality and ethics) became defiled [Hebrews 10:22].Conversion to belief in Christ means that the Holy Spirit has come into the human spirit and he then starts to deal with, and change, the soul.

Read the prayer of Jesus in John 17 for both His disciples and all believers who would come after. He prayed about an awesome uniting.

In religion can body, mind and soul be united to God?

That's an interesting question. Each one of us is body, soul, mind and spirit. God made us that way. God's plan is for us to get a personal relationship with Him, through His Son, Jesus. We need Jesus because He came to earth to save us from our sin, which we all have. (Have you ever told a lie?). God is holy and can't accept sin, so He sent His Son to die for our sin, in our place on the cross, and then to conquer death as well.In order to be reconciled to God, we need to choose Jesus to be our personal Savior from sin, and in doing that to follow Him. Then Jesus reconciles us with the Father....and God then looks at His Son, and not our sin...and promises us eternal life with Him. That is how we are united again with Him. You can't separate part of you, from the rest....all of you is reconciled...and here on earth you have a whole new relationship with Him, but when you die...you will then have all of eternity as well. We know life goes on...because Jesus Himself did it first.
