Relying on the bible?

I am a person searching for answers for my thousands of religious questions. I am searching for my religion, and I have ruled Catholicism out as my religion. Everything Catholic is the opposite of Christ like (Eg.The Pope is too fat to never fast/Catholics worship idols and pray to the dead/They bring money into holy places/They have non-bible based beliefs about Mary). And I want know if I should even be Christian. The bible contradicts itself so many times, like when Judas dies in Mat:27:1-5*He gives back the money to the priests, and then hangs himself on a tree. While in Acts:15-20 Judas Implodes. If the Bible is the source of al Chrisitan knowledge why can't it say the samething, and why does Yeshua seem to have so many different personalites. I know he's humane, but he doesn't seem to be consistant.I don't want to deny God, but a little clarity would be nice every once-in-a-while. Please tell me how I can find salvation in this confusion. Please all people of God may answer.

just for beginners, you need to read the Bible in its ENTIRE context and by comparing several versions against the others..... Judas hangs himself.... people who hang burst their bowels..... if you're serious do a little analytical study of the scriptures....

Sometimes the Bible can seem confusing, and even seem like there are contradictions. Take into account that although the Bible is God's word, it was written by man, and each individual "author" has a different personality which can be seen in the way they write. Read the Bible carefully, and pray that God helps you to understand exactly what He means. Find a non-denominational Christian church and continue to learn about God. There are so many questions to answer, I know, but the first (and sometimes only) way to go about answering them is to give God your life and trust in Jesus.

I agree with you on Catholics, except the Pope being fat = not fasting. In this day and age fasting actually makes us more likely to pack on pouds because we have more food (rich, fatty food) readily available after the fast (body thinks it's starving, stores more food). Him being fat might actually be a good sign he fasts. Acts, as I understand it, is more of an allegory style of writing. Think of it like a coded messege to crack, a bit more abstract than poetry.

Seems to me that you should really find a church that suits your needs. Maybe try a universalism one. There you can study whatever you want to and are free to believe pretty much whatever you want. In the ones here in the PHX area they even allow atheists to come and talk about what they believe in and why, without them being put down or looked down upon. If that doesnt work for you then maybe try different christian churches in your area.If that doesnt work then maybe you should try a different religion then christianity.

You can't expect to read the bible and understand it clearly any more than you can expect to read a medical text and expect to perform a surgery. That is why there a trained theologians that can help you understand these things. Join a church and talk with the pastor, they can help you. Or try going to IN TOUCH.org and listen to Dr. Stanley's sermon's and ask him or his staff if you have any questions.

If you die on this earth without ever calling upon Jesus to save you than when you stand before GOD he will Judge you as being sinful because he has warned us beforehand.
