Um..... no?Being an intolerant ignoramus is a sophisticated form of suicide, and a lot of super-religious people become just like that. But not all. Most people I've met have faith, and aren't consumed with anger and fanaticism.

No, but not being religious is. The wages of sin is death. We have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God. A person not washed in the blood of Jesus is doomed for death - that sounds like suicide to me.

Well, I don't know what you mean exactly, but my take on it is when you become a member of a church and you take it very seriously, it could be seen as giving up the life you knew before and trading it in for a new one. That in a sense is suicide. You are still walking around and breathing, but your life has been taken away in exchange for a life that is not of your making or design. To some people I bet that is a comfort, but to me, it would be awful.

Religion is man's attempt to reach God. This often involves rituals, liturgy, traditions and so on. True christianity is not a religion but a relationship initiated by God (a reverse of religion). Unfortunately half of all christianity has fallen into religion.
