Is religion a sophisticated form of suicide? Um..... no?Being an intolerant ignoramus is a sophisticated form of suicide, and a lot of super-religious people become just like that. But not all. Most people I've met have faith, and aren't consumed with anger and fanaticism.

Is religion a sophisticated form of suicide? No, but not being religious is. The wages of sin is death. We have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God. A person not washed in the blood of Jesus is doomed for death - that sounds like suicide to me.

Is religion a sophisticated form of suicide? Well, I don't know what you mean exactly, but my take on it is when you become a member of a church and you take it very seriously, it could be seen as giving up the life you knew before and trading it in for a new one. That in a sense is suicide. You are still walking around and breathing, but your life has been taken away in exchange for a life that is not of your making or design. To some people I bet that is a comfort, but to me, it would be awful.

Is religion a sophisticated form of suicide? Religion is man's attempt to reach God. This often involves rituals, liturgy, traditions and so on. True christianity is not a religion but a relationship initiated by God (a reverse of religion). Unfortunately half of all christianity has fallen into religion.
